Photography is so much more than good light and the ability to pose. It's about really dialing in and observing all the unique and beautiful things about a family and capturing the essence of the season that you're in.
As a mama to two little boys who have been growing way WAY too fast, I know when I look back at pictures of their infancy and browse through my camera roll it's not the perfect photos with them smiling perfect that makes my heart melt. It's the little in between moments I catch of them being silly, or hugging their papa. Those are the moments I can artfully preserve for you.

The process
My in-home sessions begin between 10AM-12 and my outdoor sessions begin about 90 minutes before sunset. These times tend to provide the best light. Once you've decided to book, you'll sign a digital contract and pay a retainer to secure your date!
Book your session
After you book you will get a welcome guide to help you feel best prepared for your day. You'll also fill out a brief questionnaire to help me get acquainted with your family before our time together. As always leading up to session day, I'm a resource for absolutely any questions you may have!
Planning begins
Your session will last about an hour, maybe a bit longer for newborns. It will be relaxed and natural, with no awkward posing or pleading with the children to smile. Instead, I'll guide you with posing and give you little prompts that will bring out genuine emotions and laughter.
We make magic happen
A couple weeks after your session, you'll receive a slideshow with all of your edited images in a beautiful and modern online gallery to download your favorites at high resolution.
The reveal
Once I have sent you your gallery, you can shop your gallery store thats directly linked to your family's session. This is the fun part, but it's also the most important part! Buying prints ensures that you have something tangible from your session that will last. You will also have a print release so you can rest assured that you can print whever else you please.

That favorite stuffed animal they carry everywhere, or how your baby's nursery looked when you brought them home can so easily fade with time. Together we will make sure we capture all the details and the essence of your families love, truly and authentically.
It's all in the little in-between moments.
Will you be using my photos online and on your socials?
I love to share the images of my families as it's the best way to show others my work. However I will never share your images without your permission.

Sometimes things come up or kids get sick. I'd much rather photograph your family when everyone is feeling their best and so if you need to reschedule, that's ok. If we have an outdoor session scheduled and it rains, we will reschedule at your convenience!
What if I have to reschedule or what if it rains?

As a well seasoned family and newborn photographer, I am fully aware that birth and newborns can be unpredictable. For that reason, we will pick a tentative date upon booking your session. I will expect an email or text when baby arrives so we can arrange a new date for your session. I only take a select number of sessions per month so that I am able to better accomodate my families
How do I book if I don't know my due date?

Yes! When your gallery is delivered and you have purchased your collection, that's when the fun starts! My personal print store allows your to print your images on high quality photo paper in an assortment of sizes and gifts. You are able to print wherever else you please, but I highly recommend my print shop for quality purposes.
Do you offer prints?

All images in your final gallery will have my unique and personal overall color enhancing edits as well as skin retouching, teeth whitening for adults, and fixing any major eye sores and blemishes such as acne. My editing does not include altering of your body in any way. Additional editing fees will apply if requested.
What is all included in your post processing?

After your session, your images will be presented to you in a beautiful and modern online gallery approximately 2-3 weeks after your session.

Do you put a watermark on my photos?
All images presented to you will have a watermark until you choose your images based on the package you purchased. Once selected, those images will be sent to you free of watermarks.

My sessions include immediate family only. Grandparents and additional families can be added at an additional rate. Please inquire for details.
